Anhydrous Ammonia Hose

Anhydrous Ammonia Hose. Two Reinforcement Constructions for Agricultural Transfer.

Goodyear Rubber Products helps agricultural buyers review hose options for anhydrous ammonia transfer. Two hose series are listed below: one combines stainless steel and nylon reinforcement, the other uses nylon reinforcement, and both have a black EPDM tube and cover.

The listed maximum hose working pressure is 350 psi, with inside diameters from 1/2 in. to 2 in. depending on the series. Listed ratings describe the hose, not a finished assembly. Compare the two series and their specifications below, then send us your existing hose identification and application details so we can review your requirement with you.

  • Two constructions: stainless steel and nylon reinforcement, or nylon reinforcement

Replacing an existing ammonia hose?

Start with the identification printed on your existing hose. A clear photograph, part number and installation details can make the initial review more useful than a description such as “fertilizer hose”.

Include the following with your enquiry:

  • Existing manufacturer, series or part number, if known
  • Confirmation that the application uses anhydrous ammonia
  • Required inside diameter and overall length
  • Working pressure and operating temperature
  • End connections, including size, thread and orientation
  • Equipment and routing details, with photographs if available
  • Quantity, delivery location and required date

Please state if a detail is unknown so it can be addressed during the review.

Application and availability notes

  • Use only for anhydrous ammonia, never LPG, propane or natural gas.
  • Use Parker-qualified couplings.
  • Do not use hidden-O-ring couplings, including such male swivels.
  • Parker does not recommend band/clamp attachments.
  • Consult Parker for non-agricultural or refrigeration service.
  • NH3 exposure can cause severe burns and eye/lung injury; follow manufacturer handling, inspection and assembly guidance.

Parker describes these as seasonal, non-stock products supplied through its Select ammonia assembly-fabricator network. Ask GRP to review sourcing and timing for your requirement.

Discuss your ammonia hose requirements

Send GRP the hose identification and application details you have available. Tell us whether you are replacing an existing hose or specifying a new requirement so the enquiry can be reviewed in context.
